The SIBS 2019 was a terrific experience for the Spirit Team where we were staffing three locations, Beneteau Sail on the Marina, Silent-Yachts also on the Marina plus the outstanding stand in Hall 4. With a wonderful range of Outboard Beneteau, the launch of the Flyer 10 & 8 plus Antares 7, 8 and 9 and a Barracuda 7. On the Marina, new Oceanis 41.1, 46.1 and 51.1, all great examples of the latest Beneteau design featuring chines, beam and huge cockpits. For those looking at new Beneteau Oceanis, it’s gives great direction of where Beneteau is heading with the recently launched Oceanis 30.1 and announced Oceanis 40.1. Coming this year are also new Outboard products, Antares 11, Gran Tourismo 32 and 36, all featuring twin Outboards. Sales look to be strong with an Antares 9, Antares 8 and Barracuda 8 in the pipeline plus an Oceanis 46.1. Our team of Steve, Deon, Ian, Geoffrey, Branko, Michael and Peter were in attendance.

At the harbour in Valencia, Beneteau have done a great job organising the 2019 World Dealer Conference. Today we are sea trialing a range of new boats, Oceanis 30.1, flyer 6, 7, 10 and the First 17 and 24. The Flyer 10 is outstanding with performance, deck layout and cabin space below. The Flyer is a real stand out and will be a great product for the Queensland market.
The Spirit Team with the YachtShare Team at the unwrapping of the new Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 to be named ‘JUBILATION’, the latest Beneteau to join the YachtShare fleet to be based at RQYS at Manly. Located at The Boat Works, this week, we will be attaching the keel, adding the lifelines, installing the rudders and targa. Once antifouled, the boat will leave the shed and we will step the mast. Early next week we will launch, fuel and take to our marina at Hope Harbour, before heading to for the official launch and naming ceremony at RQYS.
The new Brinovo Cruiser 580 Pontoon Boat exposed to the Gold Coast waterways, now fitted with a new Mercury 60hp Outboard engine, gives the boat great performance. The latest Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 to be sold in Queensland into YachtShare by Spirit Marine, Jubilation” with YachtShare owners on board. We were heading to Bribie Island when we passed “Jubilation” on our way up through the islands past Horizon Shores. Good looking boat and very successful with Our business associate, YachtShare, that provides owners the opportunity to share ownership is a great fleet, based out of a RQYS Manly.
Two Beneteau 8 metre boats together, the fabulous Antares 8 in the foreground fitted with a white Mercury 200hp XL V6 new generation motor. Looks so good on the boat! Behind is the 2019 Beneteau Barracuda 8 set up for fishing. The Barracuda 8 is fitted with a 300hp Suzuki Outboard engine. Launched and showing off the new generation Mercury 200hp V6 XL Outboard on our new Beneteau Antares 8. Launched for the first time, engine fitted by RibForce at GCCM. The sea trial was outstanding and the next step make the boat ready for hand over to the new owners on the Gold Coast.

The Third Beneteau Barracuda 8 to be sold into Queensland with Spirit Marine. This boat is a two door version with a single 300hp Suzuki Outboard engine. Here, we about to launch the boat for the first time to undertake its first sea trial. The boat was spectacular and performed very well and was surprisingly quiet with the single engine. The Air Step Hull provides great performance and a very smooth ride! Once tested the boat will head to Bribie Island, it’s new home. Engine supplied by Gold Coast Suzuki and fitted by Nitro Marine.
What a great start for a new Year! The Spirt Team joined Peter & Astrid, owners of the Beneteau Oceanis 45 ‘MAYO’ that Spirit Marine delivered early 2018, for the first WAGS Wednesday afternoon race at RQYS of 2019. A great result, 1st Overall in a mixed fleet of 40 plus boats. Certainly a great result and all were very happy. Photo of Peter and Geoffrey sharing the helm. The second Beneteau Barracuda 8 to be sold in Queensland, a three door version fitted with twin Mercury 150hp XL Verados that give outstanding performance. This boat has been sold to North Queensland and reside in Port Douglas following a long trip by road before Christmas. This boat is fully fitted for fishing with live bait tank and kill tank.
Nice looking package, the new Beneteau Antares 6 has arrived and here on the new trailer, fixed with a new Mercury 115hp Outboard engine. This is a nice package for sale at $112,000 drive away including the Dunbier trailer, electronics, marine toilet and holding tank. Features great performance with the easily driven Beneteau hull. Ideal for family cruising or offshore fishing, it’s really a great little boat!
Ordered specifically for the owner, Simon, this boat features the latest, new generation Mercury 300hp V8 XL which provides outstanding performance. To be based on the Gold Coast, Simon has enjoyed the boat over the Christmas holidays whilst moored at his holiday house on the Isle of Capri. No doubt about it, these new Four Winns a very special and certainly a head turners!
